We have a second home in Flagstaff, AZ where we spend as much time as possible during the summer months. When we’re in Flagstaff, we consider Grace Community Church our church home.
Led by Pastor Mark Smith, this non-denominational Bible-based church meets at Sinagua Middle School every Sunday at 10am. We love the passion that Pastor Mark has for the word of God! He is a down to earth preacher who tells it straight from the Word of God.
The people are warm and inviting. The children’s ministry was fun when the kids were younger. Sunday school for the kiddos only goes up to Fifth Grade. Our kids are older than that, so now they sit in the service with us.
The worship team does a great job. Each week they play contemporary Christian worship, which is our personal favorite. It’s what we play and sing whenever we lead worship, so obviously it’s how we love to lift our voices in praising God!
After service, they serve coffee in the lobby. It’s a great way to mingle and meet people.
And we’re loving their weekly challenges! Each week, they give the congregation a challenge to do at some point during the week ahead. The challenges are a way to help us improve on blessing others by giving as Followers of Christ. SUCH a great idea!
